Creating a Ceremony That Is Uniquely Yours
Following our initial discussion, I will work closely with the couple to develop and officiate a unique, meaningful, and personalized wedding ceremony that reflects your relationship, values, traditions, and wishes.
Depending on your preferences, your ceremony may include:
- Welcoming Your Guests
Offering words of welcome and setting the tone for your special celebration. - Traditional and Religious Elements
Explaining and incorporating traditional, religious, interfaith, or cultural elements that are meaningful to you. - Honoring Loved Ones
Celebrating and remembering the lives of family members and friends who are no longer with us. - Meaningful Readings
Including poems, literary excerpts, prayers, Bible passages, sonnets, or other readings that hold special meaning for the couple. - Blessings
Offering personal, spiritual, religious, or traditional blessings as requested. - Family and Friends
Inviting loved ones to participate in special roles, such as readings, Unity Candle Lighting, creating a flower bouquet, or blending colorful sands or stones. - Personal and Traditional Vows
Incorporating traditional vows or creating personalized vows that express your unique commitment to one another. - Exchange of Rings
Including meaningful words and traditions as you exchange your wedding rings. - Reflections on Marriage and Love
Sharing perspectives on love, communication, humor, partnership, compassion, and mutual respect. - Marriage Documents
Providing time during the ceremony for the signing of the Marriage License, Record of Marriage, Marriage Register, or other applicable documents. - Music and Singing
Incorporating live singing, including Broadway, traditional, religious, or other meaningful songs during the Processional, Recessional, or other appropriate moments. Cantorial traditions, including the Seven Blessings (Sheva Brachot), may also be included when desired. - Creative and Thematic Elements
Incorporating additional creative, symbolic, cultural, or thematic elements that make the ceremony truly personal and memorable.

At Our Planning Meeting
During our planning meeting, we will discuss the details that will help shape your ceremony into a meaningful and memorable celebration. Topics may include:
- Your Ceremony
Discussing the overall structure, flow, traditions, and personal elements you would like to include. - Legal Requirements
Reviewing the legal aspects of your wedding ceremony, including applicable provincial requirements and documentation. - Chuppah Rental
Discussing options for renting a Chuppah, the traditional Jewish wedding canopy, if desired. - Ketubah
Exploring options for purchasing an original or printed Ketubah, including artistic, heritage, and traditional Jewish wedding contracts. - Family and Friends
Planning opportunities for family members and friends to participate in the ceremony through readings, Unity Candle ceremonies, blessings, and other meaningful roles. - Bridal Party and Processional/Recessional
Coordinating the entrance and exit of the wedding party, including the Processional and Recessional. - Music and Musicians
Discussing musical selections, live musicians, vocal performances, and other music options that complement your ceremony and personal style.

Floralove Katz is a licensed wedding officiant serving Ontario and Quebec, specializing in creating and officiating unique, personalized wedding ceremonies tailored to each couple.
As a professional singer and Lay Cantor, Floralove can incorporate music, blessings, prayers, and traditional or contemporary elements into ceremonies, creating meaningful experiences that reflect each couple's heritage, values, and wishes.
Floralove holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), and a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution (G.C.C.R.). Her professional background allows her to bring a thoughtful, compassionate, and creative perspective to wedding ceremonies, marriage preparation, and interpersonal relationships.
In addition to officiating weddings, Floralove offers wedding consultation, marriage and family counselling, and conflict-resolution services, providing couples and families with guidance and support when navigating important conversations and life transitions.
Her diverse experience as a musician, artist, mediator, and social-work professional allows her to approach each ceremony with creativity, sensitivity, and respect for the unique people and traditions involved.
